Healing The Child Within
October 26 @ 10:30 am - 12:15 pm
“The cry we hear from deep in our hearts, comes from the wounded child within. Healing this inner child’s pain will transform negative emotions.” – Thich Nhat Hanh
In each of us, there is a young, suffering child. We have all had times of difficulty as children and many of us have experienced trauma. To protect and defend ourselves against future suffering, we often try to forget those painful times. Every time we’re in touch with the experience of suffering, we believe we can’t bear it, and we stuff our feelings and memories deep down in our unconscious mind. It may be that we haven’t dared to face this child for many decades. However, no matter how much we ignore the wounded child, they are still present in every cell of our body.
Join Jennifer Miles for a nurturing, heart-opening Yoga Nidra (guided sleep based meditation) practice, designed to help release the traumatic energy in your cells associated with your inner child’s pain and suffering. Yoga Nidra plants the seeds of awakened understanding and happiness so that you may feel safe to let go of the trauma that no longer serves you, to fill your heart with love and and live a life of liberation from suffering.
Remember to bring a yoga mat, a pillow, a cozy blanket and something to cover your eyes. Keep in mind that you will be laying down on the floor for an extended period of time, so bring what you need to make yourself supremely comfortable.
Valid MMJ patients will receive a goodie bag sponsored by Sublime. General public is welcome to attend. Check in begins at 10:15 AM. Due to the meditative nature of this class, late arrivals will not admitted past 10:40 AM.
